Picture Gallery of Parkwoods, Shoghi (Himachal Pradesh)
A kaleidoscope of images
A traveller most enjoys a destination if he discovers it himself   during his traverses and it turns out to be a little known yet  enchanting getaway. But, hectic as life is now, while the heart yearns for uncharted wanderings, schedules dominate the free spirit. Though Parkwoods is just 3 kms off the Kalka-Shimla highway (seems like 300 km when you are in there!), it is easily missable. Below are some images portraying what one misses!

heating in winters, wholesome food.

Adventure activities at Parkwoods.
A tree bridge. No, this is not the path from your hut to the machaan restaurant! Part of the 'structured' adventure activities at the Retreat.

A walk or soft trek on marked trails.
With the mist still playing hide and seek in the pine, oak and rhododendron forests, a walk or soft trek on marked trails is also a path to rediscovery of many forgotten values - humility as one stands by a towering 100 year old oak tree.....

Survival camping, a childhood dream come true !
For the more adventurous and intrepid, something to repeat or a childhood dream to fulfill -
survival camping.

Tara Devi temple at a height of 7000, 10 kms from Parkwoods.
10 kms away is the Tara Devi temple at a height of 7000 feet. In winters, the slopes are laden with snow. Catch lovely view of the Himalayan ranges through conifers.

Try your hand at rock climbing and rapelling.
Doesn't seem as if our friend here can do an AXN Dare.
But certainly has had his stint of Rock Climbing and Rappelling.
